friends of gene exhibition
The Gene Arthur Allcott Endowed Scholarship distributes scholarship awards annually to undergraduate students at SCAD Atlanta who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in fine arts. Award preference is given to painting students or to students working in cross-disciplinary fields.
In addition to the scholarship, the endowed scholarship fund provides for a celebratory event where ‘Friends of Gene’ come together to celebrate art, promote the Gene Arthur Allcott Endowed Scholarship and honor the memory of Gene Allcott. The ‘Friends of Gene’ exhibition consist of an elite circle of scholarship winners, donors, Allcott family members, New York City trip participants, and friends — old and new — who have been touched by the legacy of the charismatic and much-beloved painter.

The water, the champion element tying the campaign together — inspired by the modernist painter Morris Louis — is companioned with the introduction of five illustrated bottles representing different levels of love (flirt, crush, passion, desire and lust).
